R.i.p Peachy Lina

november 2024 / the station, brisbane

‘R.i.p Peachy Lina, a show and love letter to my art created and friends made in Meanjin, Brisbane. A funeral of sorts as I move away, dedicated to the past few years of living here, and my love of this humid, slow, sunshine city. By no means is ‘Peachy Lina’ dead (lol) But I do think it appropriate to have a funeral of sorts, dedicated to how glorious and special it is to be here, and to create art here, as I leave for new things.’

This exhibition was a collection of all the art I’ve made whilst living in my hometown for the past 4 years as well as art from my friends about Brisbane, being homesick and leaving home. This show felt so overwhelmingly beautiful and emotional, and I feel so touched by all of the gorgeous energy from everyone who has supported me during this period of time. Thank you so much!
